My first mod!!

Bought a Wrangler Unlimited 2 weeks ago, and it didn't take long for me to start modifying things. I'm not that bright on the mechanical side of things yet so i started with something i can handle. I always drink coffee on my way to work in the morning, and i'm having the hardest time locating the cup holder. With that i decided to brighten things up a little. Bought a couple of led lights from radio shack, drilled some holes, a little wiring and bingo the cup holder is right there. Total cost 5.00.

I will be punching out better looking holes at work.

It's kinda cool how a bottle of water lights up at night. Lights are connected so they come on when lights are on.

Thanks for the praise. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Look for an led with built in resistor. Or add one.

did you hook up to the headlight switch to come on in the evenings with the headlights,or just powered all the time, or on a separate switch.

I bought red ones today!

So what exactly did you buy from radio shack? Just the 2 LEDs with built in resistors?

Sorry I'm so late, I had trouble finding a spot to wire too. Almost gave up, but suddenly noticed a harness tie wrapped to wires next to emergency break. It wasn't plugged into anything. I tested it and was lucky wise it was wired to the headlight switch.
