Very nice!...Did you space it out from the frame for adding a farm jack on the tire carrier?

I see what you did thar. It's nice to see those shackle tabs welded through, instead of simply placing them on the bumper surface. Great work.

I admire the shackles being welded all the way through, but especially all the way to the frame mounts. You don't see them being tied in like that, often.

Nice job. I like the "hold open" device. What did you use for your latch? Is that a 1" spindle kit? Any play/rattles? I'm in the design phase now adding to our bumper this spring.

the spindle is a 1 1/16" trailer spindle from a local farm supply store, both latchs are homemade the main latch to keep it closed is made from a tilgate latch from a mid 70s dodge truck it is a hardened solid piece of steel about 1" wide i welded a bolt to the back of it made the box it is in out of 2x2 has a hole on the end for the bolt to come thru where i attatched the pull and is spring loaded on the inside on the end of the swingarm there is a recieving notch for the latch and so far it hasnt rattled enough for me to hear it inside the Jeep

Very nice looking. If you get a chance, can you take a pic of the latch you made...I'm still in my design phase.

Bumper Design

hey I got all the tools and welders needed to build this and was about to start getting the specs of what I needed but after looking how good this bumper turned out was wondering if I could get your specs off you to save some time.
