Well the exhaust is done for now. Don't mind the bolts sticking down I'm going to bring it to a shop to have them bend a tail pipe to go over the axle and out the rear and I'll have them weld up my joint between the headers and the cat.

First I cut the stock flange off.

Then I stick welded it to the new muffler. looks a little messy because I had to go back and weld a few spots where I burned through.

Then I cut the cat out.

After that I bolted the new muffler to the cat, extended the exhaust bracket because I moved the cat up about 8" and just mounted everything up. Sounds good sitting in the driveway, I still have some odds and ends to finish. And it's very solid. Over all I'm very happy with the exhaust and the muffler shop can take it from here.

I clamped my stock turn down on it for now

What type of cat and muffler did you use on your exhaust? Nice build so far

It's the stock cat, I just moved it forward a little. The exhaust is a 2 1/2" magnaflow glasspack. It not loud at all or deep. I mean it's louder than stock but not by a lot. Personally I liked my flowmaster better but I don't think I have the room with the long arms.

Thanks

Really comin along, I've got a few ideas for my rig . are you happy with a glasspack? I've heard mixed saying either sounds like a ricer or extremely loud and droney.

It really just sounds like a louder stock muffler it's not that loud and not rice at all. With that being said it doesn't have a nice low tone like flowmaster. If I had the room I would have a flowmaster.

Ok its getting close for me to order some corner armor with flares attached. Im thinking about the poison spider ones but i cant figure out if i should go Aluminum or steel. The Aluminum is 60 percent lighter so your looking at 90lbs total vs 31.5lbs for both....which obviously light is better. But aluminum will scrape and dent easy the poison spider guy basically said if you wheel a lot you might have to replace them in a few years.

Pros for aluminum
Less weight

Cons
Durability
200 bucks more

hmmmmmmm anyone on this one. Also im not dead set with the brand so any help with experience there would be great too.

haha, awesome build so far.
Do you have plans to paint the inner fenders up front? I think it would look pretty awesome if you color matched to the body.

I was thinking about spraying them black. But that is an even better idea. One of these days I'm going to get some genright corner armor and flares. When I do that my buddy is going to spray my corners to match my paint so I'll prob have him spray the inside of the wells then. Thanks for the great idea.

Tomorrow I'm going to start an engine skid and rear bumper w/ tire carrier. I'll take many pictures.

Built an engine skid. Pictures to come tomorrow. Also we flexed it out with a fork lift to determine the size of bumpstops needed and wow she sure can flex. I didn't get any pictures but when I install my engine skid I have to flex it out and make sure nothing hits it. So I'll take some poser shots then.

Update: first off I know I owe you guys some jeep porn. Right now i don't have much but if it's light out when I get home I'll try to snap some pictures.

Engine skid is all done and painted. I just need to mount it.

Wired up my front metal cloak led blinkers.

Rear bumper is close. Need to finish building the tire carrier, the frame tie ins and paint it. Here's two pictures. I'm farther than the pictures show now.

Last week I ordered genright rear 4" tube fenders. On Sunday I dry fitted them and painted them up so hopefully ill get down to my rents house to put them on tonight.

I believe my next purchase is going to be front antirock. It was going to be steering but rock krawler has not came out with their new set up yet. So front antirock it is I think. Might get the rear while I'm at it just not sure I haven't heard much about the rear not sure if it's worth it. Im thinking it is. Any thoughts guys.

Next item to build would be rock guards. Hopefully I can get together with ken this weekend and at least bend the tube for them.

Ok so the last owner put the these front rock guards on Winona

And when I took it off I couldn't get all the tape off.

Any one have any ideas? I've tried goo b gone. And on my old stock fenders I have tried diesel, rubbing alcohol and parts cleaner.
