Still need to install savvy tailgate skin

Egged out the ear on my stock Dana 44 shaft so picked up some barely used chromo's

Some random pictures and we should be all caught up.

Just to give you a little perspective

And a club trip I had to miss out on.

So Winona (my jeep) is getting a 7" stretch this winter. Not sure if I'm going to just get the longer arms from rock krawler or build a new 4 link myself yet. I'll post up some of my ideas later today.

RCI fuel cell ordered Friday.

Nice jeep! Do you hang with ADK jeeps? I went to a club meeting before I left for Sydney. Looking forward to getting back in touch when I move back.

Have you pulled the front springs and fully compressed the axle to full bump in order to check for interference issues between the track bar and diff cover? I'd be very, very surprised if they didn't hit before full bump. You've got the fattest diff cover on the market and a dropped track bar.....may want to check that because if you put it int he right situation, something's gotta give and it won't be the diff cover. I'd highly recommend swapping out the RK track bar for a Currie mounted to the stock bracket, along with a stock pitman arm.

I haven't cycled the suspension with the new diff cover on but I did check it on the RTI ramp and it does make contact just a very small amount. Ill pull the springs and check it this weekend.

Great build by the way.

Man, you don't mess around all the work you have done to this is awesome. I think everyone in their early to mid 20's in or just out of college have the similar issue, I'm 22 and I want to do a ton of things to my jk but buying a house and all the stuff that goes with it takes priority but I just know I'll get it built eventually.

New welder to burn them in with. Hobart MVP 210.

And some new body damage to inspire me to buy new corner armor.

Winter game plan time...I really wanted to build a new rear suspension myself. But because of my unpredictable busy job I do not want to get stuck on jack stands and have plenty of work already. So as of now I'm just going to buy the longer rock krawler arms and hopefully in a year or so buy another jeep and build a juggy.

Evo inner sleeve/gussets on the front 44 -Have
Fuel cell R2162A GenRight ring stock pump (sinking it into the floor to the bottom of the new frame)-Have
Atx backhalf kit and build new bumper-Have
Rock Krawler stretch arms (7" or 10")
New shocks (12" or 14") rear and front
Rear anti rock
Corner armor
Wheel spacers(not sure what width)
Will figure out brakes and E brake as I go. Maybe use LJ e break cable?
Get Tom woods drive shaft re-lengthened
Full Roll cage.
New rockers(possibly boatsides)
I'm sure I'm missing some stuff.

Im still undecided if I should stretch out 7" to net around 100" wheel base or 10" to net 103". I think I'm going to go with 7" to hit 100".

I'm also undecided if I'm going to use 12" or 14" bilstein travel shocks in the rear. I think I'm going to use 14"s in the front but not sure how hard it's going to be to fit in them rear.

Getting rid of the rock krawler front track bar and drop pitman arm and replacing it with currie is a very good possibility due to possible Clearence issues.

I would like to drop some extra coin and bump up to 37 mtr's but have a whole lot stuff to worry about before then. If I keep my 35's I'm planning on getting smaller springs. With the existing 3.5 inch RK springs I have a few inches of fender clearence left when I hit the bump stops.

Lower, longer, and wider!

Any and all input/criticism is appreciated.

Yes I heard the same. They dropped off the face of the earth then they posted up on pirate that they had 10 kits cut and they would ship them the day of payment. They were only a week late so no problems here but I got lucky!

Updates......

Fuel cell is in. I plan on recessing it into the floor but not until the back half gets done.

Man look at that ass tons of room! After the gas tank was removed in noticed the bent shock..

The brown truck came. The rear stretch is coming together...or at least the parts for it

Huge!

Some wheeling yesterday.

And a new dent to prove it.

You seem to wheel pretty hard. How have your stock lockers held up, also I read that you got chromo shafts but how did stock shafts hold up. Also have you regeared yet. Thanks

That's funny my name is also Kyle. Yes I do wheel a little hard and am a little hard on the throttle. A few months back my front drivers wheel dropped in a huge crack at the same time my rear did as well. The jeep was binding pretty good. Thick head me I tried to power out of it and ended up egging one of the ears on the stock shaft. Other than that the shafts and u joints have held up to the thirty fives. I had to replace that shaft so why not upgrade.

I have read that the rear lockers are the weak point but I have not had any issues yet. I have been really undecided if I want to build new axles or spend my money else ware. I think I have decided to keep the 44''s, to stretch out the rear 7-9" and install 14" ORI's at all 4 corners. Most likely ill pick up some 60's or some other larger axels next winter when funds allow. Right now I don't mind the 35's tires and can keep up with some of the bigger rigs by picking my lines wisely.

With that being said my first priority this winter will be building a full cage.

Sorry, no I did not re gear yet. The 4 to 1 and 4.11's work well for me. Before I took out my rear seat, spare and some other stuff it was dogging it on some of the bigger hills on the hwy. but less a few pounds it does well. I really don't want to invest a ton of money into these axles because I know I'll be upgrading a few years from now.
