The trailer is for sale, if anyone is interested just send me a message, I think I may try to tackle a jk trailer, they look pretty complex though. (sigh)

What?!?!? I can't believe you'd sell that. I'd love to have it, but I'm on the other side of the country for one, and I doubt I could afford it either.

How did you manage to squeeze 3 kids in the back of a Jeep??? Trailer is awesome, I can't believe you're thinking of selling and making another. Are you planning to lengthen the next one or something?

My thoughts are to lengthen, adjustable height suspension, and smaller wheel tubs giving the inside of the trailer more usable room, and lighting, but need $ to do it so I have to sell this one, and ultimately I guess the new one will be for sale too because I just really liked building the last one.

That trailer is really cool but sadly I'm like most others and can't afford it right now. I just realized I only live about 20 or 30 minuets away from you. Maybe I'll at least get to see it going down the road sometime. Good luck selling it and building the next one.............

RTT = Roof Top Tent, which some guys mount to a trailer as well.

I did not have any luck, the purpose of the upper rail was to have a place to mount the Roof Top Tent, however the tents range in price from $1000 to $3500 and that kind of money for a tent right now just wont work.

I have a question for everyone,... Do you guys think there would be a market for these trailers in the raw form? for example what if these trailers were sold in a kit; axle, frame, suspension, aluminum tub and tailgate, tailights and wiring, and flares. and they were shipped to customers on a pallet and the customers would build and paint their own trailer and add their own wheels and tires. for a whole lot less $..... Good idea or Bad idea?

phrichey: You will come up with something fine for the jeeper community I know. The only mod left I've got in mind on my Bantam is to upgrade the Bupkiss Ranch butchery job some prior owner did on the tail gate. I fixed the hitch & a few little things, now I like to just drive it around looking for stuff to haul in it.

If you need anything hauled up that way from Eugene area give me a shout.

I have purchased a left JK 1/4 panel from my local jeep dealership and am currently modeling the current tub (YJ/TJ) into a JK fashioned tub, it will be wider to match the JK form and I'm thinking about making them 6' 6" long so that with a soft top someone could sleep in there while camping, I'll try to post some pics tomorrow so you guys can see the progress of the new trailers.

Here are some fairly accurate #'s but not down to the dollar.
Used Tub from CL $150
Axle kit $200
Frame metal $250
Floor $200
Sheet metal supports $ 150
Wheels and tires $775
Paint & supplies $450
Body armor and powdercoat $1500
road hitch $50
Off road hitch $125
Wiring $ 25
and who knows how much in labor, probably tens of hundreds of thousands of dollars

I did not keep track, not even roughly, I don't know how I would even estimate it. I originally built it because I just wanted a neat trailer that matched my Jeep, but it turned into something more, now I wanna do it again, I think selling the kits would be fun, I think Jeepers want to build their own creations and have the hands on aspect.
