Heres a creepy picture of my YJ on a windy road in the cemetery just in time for Halloween. Might have to decorate the tailgate with Halloween gear!

Thanks!

The ones on my jeep are not stickers, they are actually metal emblems and the PO put them on. Looked cool so i left them. I think im going to cut the eyes out and put LEDs in them so they light up at night.

Yours looks great tho. Its definitely different having your emblem on the middle of the grille. I love the green, you paint that yourself?

Offroad Light Switch

Anyone have a better idea I can do about this switch for the offroad lights? I was thinking about getting a completely different switch that lights up but should it stay in the same place or is there a better alternative?

Heres the current condition. Put the center caps back on the wheels, bolts to fill the fender holes, black grille, best top soft top. Should I remove the back fenders?

get the angry eyes, i love it on mine, plus others think it looks great, i used plasti dip, which is a rubber spray and will come right off if you don't like it, and back to the emblems i didn't mean to say stickers, but if you want the led ones, they sell the led autobot emblems on amazon.com, it's not bad looking either

I found a few different style emblems im going to get this month. Just moved the offroad light switch to the other side of the steering wheel where the factory light switch is. Ill post the picture later tonight. Im also going to get the plastidip for the angry eye lights and then im going to paint the wheels gun metal or black sometime this week.

Here is the new switch for the off road lights. I previously posted a photo of the old switch on the right side of the wheel. Now it has been moved to the left side to a much more convenient location.

It also lights up when engaged!

No more Fenders!!

Removed the back fenders. Looks like I got some work to do. Time to grab the grinder and paint rollers. What color should I paint the whole jeep?

Did a lot of work since the last time I posted. Heres a current picture of my Jeep.

Cut the fenders for more clearance, Cut the front metal quarter panels on an angle in the front for a curved effect, sawed off 6 inches of the bumper on both sides for wheel clearance, coated the bumper black, plastidipped the headlights for the angry eye look, sanded and plastidipped the wheels black, recoated the body trim and fenders, and painted the shocks red.

Does the angry eyes reduce the highlight out much? ?

Not at all, just as long as you dont cover more than 1/3 of the light, youll be fine. and if it does, you can always do your fog lights or turn signals.

Took off the front grille today and inserted my custom made mesh inserts. Since I am in the process of painting the jeep part by part, I decided to paint the mesh red, the same color as the shocks. Don't know if i should paint the whole jeep red or blue yet but it will be done sometime this winter.

Hope you guys like it so far!

15 to 20 Gallon Mod

Decided to do the 15 gal modification to get the full 20 gallon capacity for the yj.
Most people say to drop the whole tank to do this mod but I have a 3 inch body lift and figured I would have plenty of room to work.

I removed the gas cap and loosened the vent hose to get to the tube inside the neck of the gas tank. Then I got a small flathead and practically bent the entire tube to get needle nose pliers in far enough to pull it out. After 20 minutes, I finally got it out and here is the remainder piece below. I cut 3 1/2 inches off of the good end and hammered it back into the neck. Now instead of having 8 inches in the tank, there is only about 3. Haven't filled the tank up yet but I'm sure I will finally get the 20 I been looking for. Whole process took about an hour.

Finally filled up the tank today! The fuel gauge was just above a quarter tank before i filled it. Looks like i got that 20 gallons i was looking for. All i need now is a jerry can strapped to the back and I'm good to go. On to the next mod.

Looks good! I have so many other projects going on I've hardly had any time to work on mine. I'm hoping to turn some wrenches Sunday.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys. I hope everyones build is going well. I on the other hand have been sawing and chiseling stripped torx bolts to remove the sport roll bar. May I add it was 29 degrees with 30-40 mph wind gusts this morning. Yesterday I bought a family roll bar with windshield extension connectors and padding, seat belts for all passengers, and a gas cap because my current gas cap requires a key, ALL FOR $90!!! Hopefully I can get the new roll bar on tomorrow.

Heres a picture of how it sits today.

Got the new family roll bar on this morning. Looks a little weird because its tan padding but once I figure out the monstaliner color, and I paint the entire jeep in the spring it will look a lot better. Still can't decide whether to paint it blue or desert sand color.
