new project ??

hello fellow wheelers, i am in need of advice. i recently came across a 1954 willys truck in a field and found the owner n he said its mine for 400$$ the truck looks pretty rough but still has all the oe gauges n trans n tc n badges minus a stolen engine lol what im wondering is whether or not this would make a good project truck funds are kinda tight but these trucks are hard to find and i love the body style, what i need is advice on swapping in some dana 44s and a v8 trans n tc, nobody around here understands our passion for wheelin and look at me crazy when i tell em what i want it for n that i would pay money for it....thanks

Sounds like an awesome project if you have a garage! a good job to fund the parts! and time on your hands to work on it and get it done. Correctly.

I wanna buy this 40's willys by my house that has sat for probably 20 years and is rusty and has no tranny. Has a tire on the hood though

Good luck, I would get it! But one thing, take a ton of pictures of everything you do! and post them here

Sounds good! Keep us updated. You can always just run soft-doors as this sounds like it'll be a trail rig!

For $400 dont even think just buy it. Worst case scenario it will sit in your garage for a little while you save some $$...and even if you abandon the project just clean it up a little and flip it for $1000
