After selling my old jeep years ago, i bought a 1994 4.0 wrangler in october. since me and the wife are expecting a 3rd child soon things are tight money wise. The jeep had a set of 31 bfg ats on it when i got it and a 1 inch body lift.
After replacing the plugs,wires, harmonic balancer, servicing diffs, trans, and transfer case i decided i wanted it bigger and badder.
I found a guy with a 4 inch procomp lift and a set of 30/35 axles for a good deal. i went and got them an took them home. the axles looke dgood. the front was perfect and the rear fluid was dirty but appeared fine...
i went and bought parts and started taking old rear out and the suspension. after i cleaned up the axle i realized the spider rears were shot and frozen
my amazing wife told me to go ahead and go the 8.8 i wanted so off i went. $340 later ive got a 4.10 geared complete 8.8. the ebrakes are shot on it bit other than that it is in great shape. since i needed my jeep i disconnected the ebrake cables and went to getting it under. ill fix those later.
the 8.8 went in great and had zero issues. so now i have my 8.8, and my stock 30 front. i pulled my front driveshaft and am going to start on the new 4.10 geared on this week... but i can at least drive my jeep! im gonna up load some pics as soon as i get them off my phone.
