Now I'm assuming you know this but I would test the gears and line them all up correctly. The specific word for this escapes me at the moment. But you'll tear the gears apart in no time of you don't.

Setting the backlash on the gear faces there are a few posts in hear on guys regearing their diffs, they show you how to set the correct backlash.

You guys are doing a great job, especially on a shoestring budget. You will enjoy all your hard work soon enough.

Did you get any insurance money from the cops for wrecking your Jeep?

Very nice, I'm thinking about tearing my tj to bare frame and building it up, Maine weather really takes a toll on the body and frame. Best of luck to you

It was asked earlier, and maybe the pictures didnt show it...but did you guys set up the gears properly? ie; pinion depth, backlash, check the pattern, etc?

Or did you just bolt the new gears on and throw them in?
