They work pretty well. Some of the fire trucks I work on use them. Of course the tires I work with are quite a bit larger.

This weekend I am planning on pulling the center chunks out of both axles. I need to flip the chunks 180° so I have center drop on both F/R. I have to have center drop with the one link set up. The casting is notched so the chunk will only go in one way. This notch needs to be ground out and a couple new holes drilled in the chunks. I will of course take plenty of picks. I will also instal the Lincoln Lockers while I have the chunks out.

Hey man hope the builds going well. I have some questions for you.
1.Did you decide on a motor/tranny yet?
(Id recomend a chevy small block EFI 350 and 400TH auto tranny) Parts, and whole engines/trannys can be found almost anywhere, plus theyre cheap/easy to work on.)

2. Whats your plan for clearning the front top loader to the oil pan, or are you just going crazy high COG? (if your trying to keep it a little lower to the ground, your wb will probably be 90% based off of your oil pan placement and dimensions)

No plans for motor/tranny

I am stretching the front 10". The toploader will hit the radiator not the oil pan. Still will be tall. Definitely not a LCOG build.

I can post pics of the front cad model later.

This is where im at on my CJ. Super huge cummins pan, with high steer D60, doesnt work to well for clearance..

It will be interesting to see how it all fits, im already at 110" wheelbase, cant go much longer lol.

You can always go longer if you add to the frame length. People do it all the time for shackles.

Hippy says drink the koolaid and go Chevy. I say go big or stay home

I wouldn't even think about anything less than 400 horse/ftlb.

Eeek diesels are for getting your rig to the trail. That said, I would choose a 12 valve over any other oil burner.

Well I'm hooked. Between you and Reagan I can see my winter is booked. I'm getting ready to start a build and was going to just do leafs for simplicity but I now like the wishbone idea. Simple and effective.

In my sig, 95 YJ. Planning a 4.3, 700r. With a 44/14 combo. That may have changed this afternoon I found a 79 k30 with a mildly bilt 350 and a 400T/205. It's got the 44/14 I want already geared with 4.56's. Negotiating price well see how it goes.

Pulling the center chunk is challenging. Its heavy and very awkward. The lifting points are off center.
