Snorkle

I hate the idea of cutting a hole on the fender to put on a snorkle for my TJ. I like the idea of the new JK snorkle kit with the AEV Heat Reduction Hood. Anyone try this with their TJ? I would assume you would need less hoses and you have the comfort of keeping your a/c. If not then I'll be the guinea pig.

I haven't heard of anyone doing it yet but if you do attempt it please keep posting updates because I am in the same boat as you. I really want one but do not want to cut into the fender!

It takes only 2 minutes to cut the little hole. What´s the problem?
And you can keep the A/C with an ARB safari snorkle.

cutting is not that bad get a hole saw in the size you need the hole to be and measure several times before you cut. if you use a hole saw it will look like it is supposed to be there.

a 3" metal cutting hole saw will cost you $20

If you haven't gotten more out of the insurance company than you deserve, then you haven't screwed them nearly as much as they have been screwing you for the past xx years.

My take was that its easier to replace the hood than the fender. I have the necessary tools, I just wanted to try something new.

Ok i have searched the forums and google. If i get a 4.0 snorkel will it work with my 2.5? I know the ARB just adapts to your stock air box.
