A lot has been going with this pos. it's been bogging like crazy when I accelerate and backfires like hell. Spent way to much money on troubleshooting when come to find out all it needed was a $30 ignition coil. Yay me.
I did plugs, wires, thermostat, fuel filter, cleaned out tb, seafoam, and I'm sure there's shit I'm forgetting. It's not bogging anymore, but it's lacking in power and the exhaust sounds raspy, cat may be clogged, Idk, need to get a decent exhaust on it and figure out why my thermostat guage isn't working as well as my alt guage. Times like these makes me wish I would've gotten out of the jeep world. Lol,

Aight. Speeding ticket paid, muffler put on(thank god). Alright, I'm not much of an engine guy, I've become decent with suspension and other mechanical aspects of the jeep.

But now I'd like to gain some power back. What can I do for the 2.5 to give it a little more kick? I remember seeing something about a 4.0 throttle body? Anybody want to do some explaining or any other suggestions?

Been a while since an update, but the ax5 has been rebuilt, solid dif cover put on, looking to sell my stinger and buy a blue torch fab bumper, trying to sell some other stuff I have laying around to get a winch on the jeep. Inspection this month hopefully that goes well also.

Getting my hands on a bored out 4.0 tb here soon, hopefully it will give me a little power back.

Put a new Tps in today, no more sputtering at ~2500 Rpms. Great feeling, had to do a celebratory donut.

I have some serious electrical gremlins that I would greatly appreciate Input on..
1) dash lights went out a few weeks ago, they would be weird before and only works on certain spots of the dimmer but now nothing..
2) my running lights/markers won't stay on. Every fuse I put in blows. I've I had them working for a while and now they just won't do anything without blowing a fuse

My thoughts on your gremlins.

1) since it was dimmer location issue in the past it sounds like you dimmer has been failing and finally died. I would start with a new switch or bypass the switch entirely and hard wire it.

2) Something is shorting out somewhere. I have seen a filiment in the bulb short out before. Or you've got a bad socket or a bad wire. Bulbs are cheap. Other than that, do what you can to isolate where the issue is. Unplug what you can and plug things in one at a time to find at least what circuit is the problem.

danm didn't even see this, I'll try to replace the switch with a normal toggle switch or something,

found the problem with the tail lights, a wire was stuck in between one of my led taillights and the body, causeing the cover to rub off and make contact.

Bought some cheap rear corners off Cl. Extra protection and what not.

Also looking at a cheap 4cyl rebuilt 40k ago, Incase mine takes a crap on me sometime soon. Plan on building it up a little, tb machined to 60mm , injector swap?? And whatever else ican do to get some power out of it

More on the engine plans:
Trying to score it for 175 this week, comes with a bunch of random stuff,
Has 40k on a rebuild
I want to have it bored over .40?
5.0 mustang injectors
60mm Bored tb
Pace setter or borla headers,
And hopefully by the time I swap it in I'll have antique plates on it and can get kinky with my exhaust. Hahaha,
With this done I'll have no worries, axles will be good on 35s, clutch system is all new, trans is rebuilt. :score:
