Stinger or not ?

I was bored today, so I shortened my front bumper and bent up a quick piece of tubing for a stinger to see if I would like it. (nothing permanent)

If I end up liking it, I'll buy one later. If I don't like it, I can just cut it off.

Nothing lost but about an hours time.

Tell me what you guys think ?

thank you

I could probably build a bumper, put the stinger on it and then some cool dimple dies for reinforcement.

89PBR96....thank you for ur feedback.

I was at my buddys house that builds custom Harley frames and bikes and he has tubing, benders, welders, etc.
So I figure I would give it a shot and there it is for now.
Plus, your right, it feels better to build something on your own than to buy it.

I like it . . . if it was me, I'd go a bit shorter. I can't tell how you've got it on there, but it looks like it's going to need some supports for it to really be functional.

The final one will have some plating with dimple dies across the bottom about 3 inches tall.

I just wanted to see if I would like a stinger or not.

The only way I'd run a stinger is if it was tied into a radiator hoop support, and then into some tube fenders then to a cage. The intention of a stinger is to support the hole rig if it tips forward on a decent and keeping it from rolling forward over itself.

If it stays like that for more than four hours, consult a physician.

I would only go with a stinger if you REALLY take that Jeep offroad ALOT.

Stingers are like wheelie bars on drag cars. If you're going to run one, you better need it........otherwise there are plenty of people who are going to point out that you're posing.

On a personal note........I think it'll look fine with the reinforcements you're planning.
