swingout tire carrier question

ok so i bought a swingout tire carrier that is missing the pivot piece and i found online a parts kit that contain the pivot piece seals bearings, races and sleeve. my question is will the stock rear bumper on my 98 be strong enough to hold this carrier with a 33x12.5x15 tire and wheel?

Since no one else is replying, I'll give it a whirl lol. I may not be an expert but I'd say yes it is strong enough. The bumper is mounted to the solid steal frame, unlike the tailgate that's held on by 2 hinges that screws in to a sheet metal body.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. To me it looks like if it's a TJ rear bumper it might be able to host the carrier but if it was me mounting it on, I'd go all the way through from the top to the bottom of the bumper. Since it's an open box construction it will be exposed to some degree of twisting. It might or might not kill it but definitely will be moving a lot more than with a closed box bumper
