-not a fabricator just a guy w/ an idea-
Its just a template so far some more measuring and just overall checking and I pick up the steel on Saturday. Any suggestions or ideas?

Cool...never seen a Weber with a bumper before.

Recess and reinforce the mounts for the winch and d-rings. I see you're in IL so you could/should french in a front license plate location. Maybe incorporate spring hinges on the license plate mount and hide a hitch receiver behind it; I think the H2's do something like that.

Edit: My bad, yer in IN. I still think it would look cool, though. Doesn't have to a license plate.

Think protection and recovery without making it too heavy. If it's totally boxed in make sure you include drain holes and consider packing it with styrofoam.

Nice design; I just think it needs some aesthetic tweeks to make it more than ordinary. Things that aren't readilly apparent but when people notice they say things like "Look how he did that; that's pretty cool."

Have had a bump or two in getting the steel for it... My usual place can't cut the angles and now the place he sent me wants $400 for steel and labor<--(ridiculous) price..so as soon as I find a place I'll have pics of the sections and so on.

Just added all this the other day....
285/75/16 Goodyear duratracs- I am really happy with them, stock 16" steel wheels painted black, rugged ridge flat flares w/ side marker relocator- have to say they aren't the "best" but for the price they are great a little floppy on the highway but owell, and 2.5" front coil spring spacers.
Now I just have to finish the bumper

Good Job and nice looking bumper. Suggest you buy some welding gloves or OSHA will be looking for you!

Ok it took a lot longer than planned but finally got it sandblasted and painted. It took so long cause I really liked the rusty bumper but I broke down and got'r done. So $120 gets you this.
