Angry TJ build options/DIY Highline etc..

Hey everybody, new to wranglerforums, so bare with me, pictures will be up soon of my jeep also.

I just installed my 1" M.O.R.E. BL on the TJ today, turned out good . Have not yet installed my steering raiser bracket yet, but happy with the results.

Next I was going to throw a 2" Skyjacker BB. HOWEVER, I havent been offroading yet with my Jeep, nor will I go crazy with it either, I would like to be able to take it out to the trails now and then and be able to hold my own with out trashing my rig.

So having that said, I LOVE the look of the highline's, but I'm only gonna run 32's most likely. (currently running 31" bfg AT's that are bout toast) As I dont feel like re-gearing to run 33's.

Anyone have any opinions on how it would like with 32's and only a 1" BL WITH a DIY Highline, or maybe should I just go with a 1" BL and 2" BB with 32's. Like I said, I will start taking it off road in the spring but nothing too crazy.

Thanks!

I think 32's will be alittle small for your setup your wanting. With proper backspaceing of your rims and correct bumpstops I think you could fit 37's on it. Rokman offroad did a TJ that is on 2 inchs of lift and highlines and its rolling 37's.

Not a fan of the rokeman look. Prefer the stock look of the highline much better. I don't think it would look too bad with either some 32s or 33's as long as I don't get too carried away with lift. LIke I said I have a 1" m.o.r.e. BL now. May be as far as I go with a diy highline.

Ps....anyone run mastercraft a/t's?? Found a cheap set of 33s. Looked intriguing

Yea AEV makes a very nice stock looking highline kit. If you could get it without that heat reduction hood and trim your hood to fit. It would be perfect. But if your serious about highlines on your jeep and want to run 32's. don't lift it, just get somegood shocks.

What engine do you have. If its the 6cyl, you can run 33's no problem. If its the 4cyl you can still run 33's... I did for years.

I have the 4.0L. Currently have a 1" bl. Talking to a guy that is selling some 33's for cheap but worried about my gear ratio. I am pretty sure its 3.73 but need to double check.

33s shouldn't be too big of a problem. Look at you rear diff. tag for the ratio. I have 33s on 3.73s right now and its not that bad.

My jeep is yellow also, and sometimes I call her rumble bee ha. Are you running a lift? I think if I can get by with just my bl till I do my highline ill be ok I think. Or just a suspension lift

Haha that's a cool name! Yes I have a lift. It's a BDS 3" suspension and 3/4" spacers up front to level (from the winch & bumper). I don't think you can fit 33s with only a 1" BL, you'll probably rub going over speed bumps, it'll be a very tight fit.

You could probably fit 33's with a 1" body lift and highlined fenders. Give it a test. If they don't fit, then trim more.

Also, 3.73 gears would be sufficient for 33's.
