TJ Build Thread Ground Up

So i recently decided that i would build a TJ. Not too much going on around here and i wanted a project that i could build from the ground up. I am going to school to graduate this may. My hopes are to have this thing built by the end of summer. this of course will depend on funds working full time this summer i will be working every day toward completion(going threw 100 Hour law course this summer sometime) but other than this i plan on spending every second on this. I wanted to start a build thread to get advice on ways to go about things and so i can monitor my own progress and time on the project. Here are some pictures to where i am of now.

Got Jeep today 30 min from home. Borrowed a trailer from an uncle and dropped it behind my place in the rain/snow around 11 am

i have new fenders hood and top that arent shown in the picture

Anyone used POR15 After sand blasting??? good or bad

If you're sandblasting the rust completely, you won't need to use POR15. Use a good self-etching primer that's made to adhere to bare metal. Be careful when using it, the fumes are noxious, so better to do it outside. Only use a self-etching primer. Then you can paint the frame or whatever you're doing. A lot of people are using Herculiner on their frames nowadays. Looks good and if done correctly, will last longer than you.

Got the Fenders and Grill piece off today also removed and cleaned the interior pieces. Tub got removed this afternoon.

damn man, good luck with this build. I've done a "ground up" project before on a 1940 Ford hot rod and it took a lot longer than one summer. Seeing your Jeep apart with a bare frame brings back bad memories of my build, haha. You can get it done quickly if you really work on it. And you will know that Jeep inside and out, literally, when you are done. I hope it goes well!
