TJ Front Bumper

Finally have a welder...figured I might as well use it for something

I'll only have time to work on this sundays so it may be slow depending if I have other things going on...but here's what I have so far.

All I have are 6" wide pieces of 3/16" so today I cut one down to 3" and welded it to a 6" piece...I probably sould have cut those angles first...but I hadnt decided to put them there until after I had it together.

yea, my jeep's parked by the cabnets behind me. its rough working conditions!

i ran across a build on pirate and may actually go at this a little differently. you can see my cardboard template on the island...but i may move my anti-rock forward and go for a more "tube" look:

...just alot cleaner version of this perhaps...time will tell. i'll pry change my mind 100 more times

Bananas for potassium, some lotion for your dry skin, and a scented candle to help cover the odor of weld slag and burnt cat fur. This is just how those guys on American Chopper got their start. LOL.

I was going to make a Yankee Candle reference but I figured nobody outside of Western MAss would know what I was talking about.

What's with the kitchen shots? I know you can't be filling and grinding in there.

Nice 8274 on the front of your Jeep. I heard somewhere that Warn was going to do a limited run of Special Edition 8274's for somewhere around $2500. Anyone else hear that rumor? Had a buddy growing up with an '86 CJ-7 with an 8274 on the front. Baddest winch in our neighborhood. I'm pretty sure you could pull a house off its foundation with it.

The best part about this thread is the attention to detail. Ya know, the bends, the welds... the scent of the Glade candle in the kitchen.
