there are a couple places that have DIY kits, but those are going to run you $180. if you don't want to bent the tubes, you could get long pieces of tubing and cut small angled pieces to form the curve. it will look kind of like an octagon (at the bend) buy you can use a grinder and smooth it out some. that would probably look pretty cool. can you weld? i have also heard of guys using PVC and then heating it to bend it. i don't really think i like the idea of using pvc, though. there doesn't seem like there would be enough structural ridgidity for my liking.

it cost money to look cool

depending on your fab skills, Jeep Tubes might make things a little cheaper.

Are you wanting to leave your stock fender on just add some tube around it without a flare like an exo-cage setup? Just by the shape of it all there are going to be a couple of bends that you'll need to do.

Yea, I deff. wouldnt build a cage from pipe. Im doing my cage in a few weeks and Im gonna be ordering an awful lot of 1 3/4" X .120" DOM. Thats actually a good deal for a bender too, I was gonna get the same one myself. But in all honesty, for tube fenders, Id probably not even bat an eye at just using some schedule 40 pipe. They may smack a tree or rock here and there but they arent gonna save your life if you roll (like a cage) so i wouldnt even bother to spend the extra $$ to do them in DOM. Maybe HREW if I felt like it but thats just me.

Well you know that anything but good metal will save your truck. So while you get cheap in place you just got 10x worse by the damage that you did

Not sure what you are getting at???

No damage to my hood, by modding this way except for some rivet holes on the underside lip, & the marker light relocation holes.

The hood is now removable, so I can leave it in the yard if I'm wheeling.

With the recent addition of some vintage hood scoops, I'd be inclined to leave it home for sure.

Buck it looks great I was talking about if you lay it on its side. There is no way it willhold the weight of the jeep so it doesn't take damage.

I did the sniperfab.com DIY kit, just need tobe handy with a welder and take the time to cut off your old fenders and mock up the new ones

Oh, I eventually want to re-enforce the stock roll bar with more "up front" cab tubes, & some hoodline tubes to the stinger. I may do some real tube fenders at that point.

This deal (while not much help during a flop) gave me the look I was after, & the option to lift off with the hood when I want to do that.

I don't have the $$$ right now to do the mods I really want, even building them myself.

I try not to put my junk (DD) in a position where there is a point of no return, & a flop is likely.

That rear nerf-em bar looks great! A future spare mount I presume.

Fenders came out nice!

Camo paint looks extra sweet, I may do the subdued urban camo scheme on mine at some point!

im in the process of doing this right now- just got done cutting them off with an angle grinder, i plan on buying some 1 inch conduit from home depot and a conduit bender and then welding them to the bottom of the fender that is now flat-- gonna look similar to RAWKON's fenders.. angle grinders are way cheap at harbor freight
