Welding table build

Hey Guys

Here are some pics of a welding bench I am working on , the top is 36x48x3/8 thick plate with 1.5 inch pipe legs framed with 2x2x1/4 angle , this will include a expanded steel shelf on the bottom . What do you think

Looks good, probably would have been easier to build it if you had a welding table. But then again you wouldn't build it if you already had one!

So if you're welding a welding table...then what are you welding it on?

Very nice table. Are you going to put casters on the end of the legs?

Would probably be easier to weld on if the flat part was on the top instead of those pointy things though. Just my opinion, but I am not a welder.

Yeah, bummer that you built it upside down. Gonna have to rotate the entire garage every time you want to weld something.

Just get a $200 cheapy wire feed and a bunch of scrap... It's not rocket science to get welds that hold, and all you really need to get em pretty is a ton o practice

Or better yet, get a stick welder and figure that out... if you can stick weld, everything else is super easy in comparasin

It isnt a welding table till there is four million tacks on the legs and under it!Don't forget to leave about 3 inches of wire tacked to it too!
