What welder to buy

Hey guys I'm looking for a small semi portable welder to buy to keep in my jeep for on the trail use and also a little custom use around the house as well. I'm wanting to build a rear bumper so it needs to be able to handle that as well. Any ideas on what kind or size?

Check out the "ready welder" -- those terms should take you to their website. Different concept from the usual one, and only a suggestion.

Amazon.com: Hobart 500539 Trek 180 Battery-Powered or 115-Volt Corded Portable MIG Welder: Home Improvement
Ready Welder Model 10000 ADP-CS portable MIG welding unit
The Hobart looks like a real nice unit but I have never used it. I have used the Ready Welder for trail repairs and it was nice. I had to weld my shackle mount back on and it had no problems doing it. The only drawback to it is that it usually requires 2 batteries to weld with, and then they will need recharged. Premier Power also makes a stick welder that will mount permanently to your vehicle and includes a new alternator and power source. That is nice because you can run 115volt stuff off of it too, like grinders and blenders.
