Winch Plate Drawing & pdf's For You

I built a winch plate for my 93 YJ and thought I would share my drawing with everyone. I built it exactly to these dimensions and it fits perfectly. The attached pdf's show all of the dimensions. I also have a Google SketchUp file as well, but I am not sure how to post the SketchUp File.

That winch mount pattern is wrong for most winches, most are 10" x 4 1/2" not 4 1/4".
What brand of winch did you mount?

Yep, you are correct. Thanks for catching that. I posted one of my old drawings. Here is the correct view.

When checking my template for making a winch mount, which I just made about a month ago, all of your frame mounting hole dimentions are way off from mine, unless there is a difference between Yj and Tj which I don't think there is.

I don't know about a TJ, but for my YJ these are the dimensions. I need to remove the winch this weekend to work on the bumper, and will snap some pictures while it is off.

Ya....was just checking a YJ and the bolt pattern was different, just had not made a winch plate for one yet, but I will use your dimentions when I do.

Question metal thickness

How thick is the metal you used ? Also I was wondering if using a 8K or 9K winch, if you have to go to a higher output alternator ? I've been told you do.
