Wing doors

I've been trying to think of a unique mod I could fabricate and after watching Jurassic park the lost world I was thinking of some tube style wing doors. Tube doors that swing up like a dilorian. Any one else thing that would be cool? You know, minus the whole " trying to get out in a crowded parking lot" thing

that would be quite a challenging fabrication. Personally i wouldnt want them but my jeep is also sitting on 35's so id have to climb up the tire to close them lol

Run a piece of tube that bolts on using the factory hinge holes up the A piller than back the roll bar, then put hinges on it that attach to the door. You could go hydralic but I think that might be complicated. but doable. otherwise you could mount a tab that swung on the bottom of the tube across the top, so when you pushed the door up the the horizontal position you could swing the tab around to support the door until you got inside. Yes I just designed that in my head in about 3 minutes :P

get 2-3 bearings that fit around the stock roll bar pieace (would only work with no top) and build off those would be real hard with stock doors but i could see with some type of tubular door

I say go for it, its your jeep do what you want. I like the gull wing doors but, If you stick the jeep between some rocks or trees your stuck to. If you tab it out from the roll bar you could even use them with your top still on. Get to buildin and lets see some pics.

If you make them strong enough, you can save yourself from rolling by throwing it open and using it as a kick-stand!

That would be some heavy duty doors.
