Gonna be getting trans and Case ready to put I'm before I start wire harness and complete dash. Scored a z gate for 40 bucks too. The motor was supposed to be a old junk motor but when disassembled I found all new internals so I added new intake and carb.
Ill be at least to a point it can run and then ill make decision to speed up and buy tons or play with stock axles and get some reward.

I hope to have the following set up when it's supposedly "done"

350/th350/d300ts
37s
D60 with some bling parts like ried racing knuckles chromo shafts and Detroit
Rear stretch with d 60 chromo shafts locked and disc conv
Fuel cell
Custom dash auto meter gages
Custom center console from dash etc
Custom cage

For now it will get 350/th350/np241 and stock d30 and d35 with 4.11 and 33s
Cage fuel cell and custom dash ect
Basically everything but case and axles will be complete so when funds allow rock ready axles the rest of the jeep is already complete but in mean time I can be playing / breaking it while axles are on my bench. Ill try to get more details and steps as I go but this is a weeks worth.

I will post all fab and build stuff as I go from here.

Here's a shot of the 700r4 np208 I had in shop, I decided to go with th350 and 241 because I don't need overdrive and no torque converter lock up needed. Also the th350 is shorter setup helps me shorten front shaft and lengthen rear shaft. So ill e selling trans and 208 to get more funds for other stuff.

All in all I ended up with a solid fresh 350 and all I added was new carb new intake and valve covers. Looks like the new cam in it is a street strip cam. Keep your eyes on this gonna be a nice build once momentum starts rolling.

Bought my motor the other day now on the hunt for a trans and tcase, did you have to use any adapter for the th350 to 241? And how much shorter is the 700r 208 combo than the 350/241, roughly? Looking good as I said earlier man, might have more questions for you later on lol

The 700r4 is almost 2 inches longer than the th350 set up. I am making a flange for the two so I will actually have 3 inches saved.

Your best luck would be to get a pair out of something so flange and all is there just keep in mind wranglers are short so your front driveline will be long rear shaft short regardless so that plays a factor in choices. I plan to go d300 in future with advance adapters set up.

My original plan was to use a 700r with a 241 that came behind it originally then a jb conversion super short sye to gain some length. Did you buy or build motor mounts?

Both, they are poly performance bolts right up. But cross bar is very close to my pan so I cut and lowered the bar. Your original plan should work just fine, and wiring the tc lock up is easy

Looking good man. Why not skip the 37's and find 3 more of those tractor tires though?
