Anyone know of a good dealership in BC or more specifically a good sales person, can't seem to find anyone who knows what their talking about, or that will go out of their way to help me more than saying 'this is what we have on our lot'. I can see why people don't buy Chrysler products, the dealerships are terrible! I go in saying that I want to buy a new Jeep and getting help finding what I want is impossible! no one will help with an order on a 2013 because they can't even figure out if the brown interior is available...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I know what you mean...I asked to take a jeep for a test ride...the sales guy let me drive it around the block. He told me there wasn't enough gas in the tank to go any further. He didn't even bother to show me any features of the jeep. It seems like car salespeople don't want to earn your business, they expect you to know everything about the vehicle walk in to the dealership pay full retail price and go home happy. Is this a Chrysler thing or are dealerships making so much money that they don't have to do any work?

I emailed 10+ dealerships this week, all but 3 stated 'I'm not going to loose money ordering a Wrangler for you at 2% below invoice" I sarcastically replied to those ones and explained how a dealership makes money on a new car and also stated that the buyer shouldn't be telling the manager how the dealership makes a profit I don't think I made too many friends today...

On the up side, I found 3 possible dealerships to deal with in the Lower Mainland

I live on the island....Every jeep owner I have spoken to here says they purchased on the mainland and saved at least $2000.00! If it was like $500.00 or so I would probably buy locally, but if I am ordering I don't mind a ferry ride if I can save a couple of grand..so far Marine Chrysler seems good.

I have got Braby Motors in Salmon Arm and Jim Pattison in Surrey down to 2% below invoice so you can use that as a benchmark.

Is that price based on ordering from the factory?

Yes, factory order without a trade as I'm most likely going to sell my Patriot separately but I'll see what Jim Pattison will give me for it. Now I just need to negotiate financing

The rate I got quoted was 3.99% as their best rate for the first 36 months of a 72 month term, then the remainder gets refinanced. Anyone get a better rate than that on a 2013?

That sounds like the customer choice financing....works kind of like a lease.

I ordered a 2013 Sahara mid-August (Billet). Sales guy says still not built, so judging by how fast the U.S. folks receive there Jeeps, it does seem that in Canada we wait longer.
As its not even being built yet I'm likely looking at 10 weeks PLUS before it actually arrives.... Collingwood, Ontario dealer.
Was wondering what others are experiencing.

Hey, I'm reading this forum on my phone, so I can't really tell if you've got any responses. Anyways, I ordered a 2013 Sahara mid September (through dealer) and I got confirmation it was shipped today. I'm in Ontario.

Good news, I hope you get the vehicle before the end of the month. From reading other Jeep forums, it seems that they section off periods of time to build certain colours a/o vehicles for different countries and as well, the dealers that sell the most get preferred build timing and that customer order vehicles do not get preference over dealer orders for their lots.. its just based on number of total orders by dealer. ??
Looks like you will have yours in 10 weeks or less.. so far I'm apparently looking at 18 or so weeks for mine. I ordered from Blue Mountain chrslyer in Collingwood ontario and I believe they sell a fair number, but not likely as many as some dealers in Toronto.
I'm going to call IAMJEEP customer service next week to try and get an update, they can usually give you some idea, but according to others its not terribly accurate. Maybe it will be sooner than they first advised me.

Ordered mid-august, last real update I got was an estimated ship date of Oct 23rd. Dealer says it should be here mid-month but won't offer up any more than that. Hopefully any day now but honestly can't be surprised if it takes another week or so.. they seems to have no ability to offer any real tracking info.

hurry up and wait

I ordered my Rubicon on Sept4. After 9 weeks the dealer called to inform me that dozer paint was out of stock. I verified that with jeep and changed my colour to cherry. A week later we had a vin number but to date its still not scheduled, so a vin doesn't guarantee when it will be built. So I guess its not good to believe the dealers 4 to 6 week delivery estimate

I was told by the U.S. IAMJEEP customer service that going into production usually meant that we get delivery in about 4-6 weeks. Production seems to mean they are just getting ready by organizing the parts and so forth? I was also told that when you get a VIN # it usually means it is about to go to 'production status'.
The customer information available in Canada regarding Jeep deliver is really poor.. in the USA they get more of a 'play by play' and they certainly do get faster delivery than we do here.
Agree dealers should be more honest about the wait times of often 14 to 18 weeks from what I can see and have experienced.
I mentioned on another site that the IAMJEEP customer number/service in the U.S. was helpful when I called the first time as they confirmed my production status as of the end of October.. and said to call back mid-november.. when I called back I made the mistake of saying I was canadian and they quickly told me they could not talk to me about the order and in canada they want us to go through the dealer?? They also gave me the canadian customer number but added that I would have to go through about 5 minutes of 'prompts' to get to speak to someone.. (and they were correct) and that the information that the canadian customer service group has, is (in so many words) useless... and I can confirm that is true as well.

Damn, that's some bad news, ordered the same color 2 days before you, but haven't hear from my dealer yet, so either I got lucky and made it into the last batch or my dealer is just doing a bad job

I'll pay my dealer a visit Wednesday, let you guys know what's happening

We should all write Chrysler and tell them how poorly educated and frankly... friken stupid! Chrysler Canada contact centre is... they couldn't even answer my question regarding which colours were available with the saddle interior I told her to call a damn production manager at the plant across the boarder and ask them then! is it that difficult to call a different department?? Well my Jeep is on its way but I can honestly say that if I wasn't totally in love with Jeeps, based off the customer service I've gotten from their dealership and Chrysler Canada I would NEVER buy one of their products.

Get this...I was at a local dealership because I kind of know one of the sales guys there....same thing knew very little about available colours etc. The dealership did not have a 2013 4 door on the lot for a test ride, so I told him what I was looking for Dozer Sahara and I listed the options. This is the good part....I drove by the dealership the other day and what do I see on the lot a 2013 Dozer Rubi!
Didn't get a call an email or anything. It's like they dont want to sell you a car..I would not have bought it from them because of the take it or leave it pricing...but they didn't know that.

By way of update on my 2013 billet Sahara... I got a call this morning from the dealer to say it was built, but had not shipped yet.. might see it in 2 weeks or so.
Later today they called to say it arrived on their lot at noon, unexpected?? Yes, the communication is really poor all around, up here in Canada with Chrysler.
Anyway, the thing is finally here after 14 weeks, so I can pick it up in the next day or two.

For those interested, I have seen on other sites that those who want Gorilla Guard security wheel locks, which are supposed to be superior to the mopar ones, often order 2 sets of 4, as with the spare we need 5. I phoned Gorilla and they told me they now have a set of 5 available. The set of 4 for Jeep is part # 61681, according to Gorilla, and if you want the 5 its part #61681B5. I suspect most of the retailers do not know this as it was news to Summit Racing when I tried to order them on-line and had to phone them to dig this part # up. Hopefully they will fit ok..

Anyone else still waiting.... I hope you get a positive surprise call as well.. it is really far too long to wait for a car to be delivered !!

Any idea how long it takes them to make it up here once they're shipped?
