St Albert AB. Was shopping for a 2012 but kept getting the run around (don't know when they'll arrive, don't have any information, tell your husband to call me LOL, ya I got one you can test drive- oh sorry, no 2012s I meant 2011). Wound up picking up a 2011 JK auto loaded a few weeks ago for an amazing price and I love it. Had a TJ back in the mid 90's then switched to GC for the highway comfort (Fort Mac-Edmonton). Everyone laughs cuz I'm an old lady (retired military but still working LOL) but I don't care. I smile everytime I have to drive somewhere. They laugh more when I ride my Harley.
Rigged up the garage so I can lift the top myself. Have been busy with add ons (Northridge was great, having the Mopar warehouse in Red Deer is super, trying CSE Offroad on Ebay this week).
Lots of reading to do on the forums. Just checked this morning and my passenger side carpet is damp . Lifted the carpet and there is some sort of white pad underneath that is wet close to shifter but no pooling - not wet on the door side. Pulled the trim by the sill plate to check if it was coming in the infamous hole by the door pillar under the trim....not, so I will have to do some sleuthing and experiment with a hose once it is dried out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Lot of grey foam has been added around the pillar so they must have done all the TSB mods. I know, get over it newbie, its a jeep LOL. Disappointed but not regretting decision to buy.....yet.
Tried the "wave" thing a few times and got some funny looks. Must not do that here heh?
Anyway, hi, glad to see a Canadian forum - back to reading.

Hey neighbor! I'm in north Edmonton. Post some pics of your rig. Then I can at you! Bear Trax is really good on the Yellowhead and about 82nd. His name is really Barry but everyone calls him Bear. Also on here Quadratec, Joe is his name, is offering form members excellent shipping to Canada. But I'm going to check out Northridge myself as well. I haven't had any problems with my hard top leaking. Knock on wood. I take it through the touchless wash every couple of weeks. Sometimes Hughes if I want a quick wash. I'm picking up a Best Top NX soft top next spring.

Don't let your age stop you from doing what you love!

Nice ride!!! Pics is on my agenda today or tomorrow LOL. Might take a run out to Bear Trax - most everything on their website is under construction...Tried Quadratec but shipping UPS/Fedex is crap with their brokerage charges so I pretty much stick to sites that will send USPS. I'll never let my age stop me - until they put me under . Gonna pop the panels off now.

I'll wave at you. . 2010 sahara jku. Same problem, but it hasn't leaked yet. Dealing with Sherwood park dodge for the fix. Good people, they're trying hard to fix it. It has been a tsb think, although I think they call them "rapid responses" now. The problem is with the "adhesive" that was used. Seems the glue dries and separates from the body. In mine I only get a whistling sound when I drive over 50km, no leaks. Anyhow, they caulked it and ordered the tsb recommended adhesive from the red deer parts depot, but the old adhesive had been discontinued and it's replacement would dry/stick/seal/something like that. So, problem not solved. Marc, the service advisor said they would contact mopar and get a solution and get back to me as soon as they heard anything. I'll try to keep you posted. My suggestion- don't do the "hose test", because if it's still not sealed, your carpet will just get wetter and you're at risk for mildew. But enjoy your new ride, highway 63 isn't all that bad in my jeep. :0)

Oops

Two oopses. It's the old apple spellcheck... First, the great service guy is Marv, as in Marvin, sorry, and I meant the new adhesive is NOT sticking. Maybe they should use the sticky stuff that comes on the back of duct tape.

Hey Keod and Hellraiser (and anybody else in the area!) I just signed up and introduced myself in the "New Member Check In" thread. Here it is...

Hey everybody! Brand new to the wrangler forum but not new to Wranglers... or forums for that matter! Since I bought my JK in late '07, I've been hanging out on project-jk.com, not knowing that this one even existed! But here I am... and with some catching up to do!!

So here goes:

From Newfoundland Canada, living in Morinville Alberta.
First Jeep was a '96 TJ Sport (4cyl) in Forest Green that I outfitted in '05 with some foglights and big Dayton rubber. This was my first 4x4, and the machine that solidified my love for the origional American Icon.

Then in late '07 I purchased my first brand new vehicle. A 2008 JK Unlimited X shining in Rescue Green Metallic. After a couple of years of riding stock, I upped the ante with a 3" Old Man Emu lift and 34" Duratraks wrapping 17" Goliath Matte Black Ultra Wheels. Since the news of the 3.6L becoming the heart of the 2012s, I'm already counting down to trade for another Unlimited (Fall 2012) in possibly Dozer Yellow.

Great to be here, and will be posting obsessively!

Posted in the other thread about abjk.ca. It's a site for JK's in Alberta. There is a run tomorrow morning leaving from Grandview Stage Resort near Rocky Mtn House at 10:30am. A little late for this one I guess. But so far there isn't any fees to be a member.

Hey from just outside Toronto on the west side. '09 Sahara all stock  Ran into some guys who said there are decent trails between Milton & Acton. Haven't been on the myself to vouch however.
Anybody out there looking to sell their Rubi tires & wheels? Also looking for Rubi shocks and springs.

Northern Ontario boondocks here (aka Timmins ON). Just bought a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited on Thursday and was happy to find a forum dedicated to Wranglers. Looking forward to using the 4x4 this winter and taking it into the bush this summer.

Currently buried in snow in the Ottawa area, moved here from Victoria BC in 2007... possibly not the smartest decision I've ever made! I'm originally from Fredericton NB however, so snow isn't a new thing to me, I've just never liked it! Spent some time living/working in Calgary AB and Vancouver BC as well... both excellent Jeeping areas!

My current TJ Unlimited is my 10th Jeep. My obsession started with a Comanche pick-up a couple of decades ago and continued through some Cherokees, a YJ and a handful of TJ's.

Yup I was born at the old Amherst Hospital way back when. Lol. My step father was the boiler room operator for a lot of years. Most of my family is there except for my bro he is in Calgary.

Yup most people are from Edmonton. The meetings and wing nights are here. But people from other parts come here. Like Cold Lake, Fort Mac etc. One guy coming from Slave Lake this Sunday to do a run! Lots of runs to the North and the mountains.
