So this past monday I went into a dealership looking for a new wrangler.
I was hoping to find some old 2012s that they were looking to move but no luck finding a stick 2door in black.
anyway this one dealer, Ontario Chrysler, says okay we'll get you into a 2013 Wrangler, no problem.
So we hash it out, models, options etc. and buddy comes to me and says ok we'll do 103/week for this 2013 Sahara. So I say, sounds great let me think on this i'll come back later today and let you know, as i'm walking out the door sales manager comes up and says "i need to sell this car what can we do to get a deal done now?"
So i say okay give me 95/week and i'll sign right now. he says "done". so do the paperwork, etc. and i get the call today "okay your sport S is in, come pick it up."
i'm like, "what? sport S, what the hell are you talking about."
So i went down to the dealership and they've got this base model sport S sitting there and act like nothing is wrong and expect me to drive away in this thing.
Obviously I said no and walked, cheque for my DP is in the mail, supposedly.
ANYWAY, went across town, found a place, Parkway Chrysler, told the guy, Paul, my story and what i wanted, he said "thank god for Ontario Chrysler" and that they get all kinds of folks walk in who had these other guys try and put the screws to them. Gave me a sweet deal on the Sahara without having to haggle at all. After we agreed on a price he even came back and said that he forgot a rebate and knocked another 2k off the sticker.
Long story but wanted to give the peeps a heads up out there!
