I live in a very hilly and curvy area so when I travel on the highway I am getting about 11.8L/100km. My engine isn't broke in yet either only has 7000km on it. On average with in town and highway driving combined I would say I get between 500 and 600km per tank. Not the greatest but willing to pay the price to own a jeep
Yikes, I get about 500KM from the 60L tank in my 3.9L G6 coupe right now. Wondering if the Patriot might be a better choice for a DD if I'm not going to be fully utilizing the Wrangler's off-road ability...
Well I guess that all depends on where you stand. If you want to own a Jeep then yeah the patriot is a nice unit and they are doing some real nice things with them, but a patriot is not a Wrangler. There are no other vehicles like the Wrangler and if you want a wrangler you have to suck it up a bit in the gas department. I considered gas milage for a split second while signing the papers for my new Wrangler...but in the end I wanted one. If gas milage is totally your only hang up you could always go on a wild goose chase and try to find a Wrangler with the 2.4 turbo diesel...but good luck!
Im averaging 14.9l/100km 80% city and 20% hwy.. BUT im on the hwy during rush hour and if you've driven on the 401 during rush hour you know how bad the traffic is. I range from 500-540 km on a full tank.
Went topless for the first time yesterday and to be honest when Im cruising with no top I could care less how much gas is. Oh and this is my daily driver.
BTW I had a compass before this wrangler and it averaged 12.3l/100 combined so not much better, dont know the specs on a patriot though.
I'm getting about 20 mpg. Close to what they advertise on the window sticker. I only live a couple km from work, so gas mileage isn't a big deal. Although I knew coming into Jeep ownership that it was going to be worse than my Mazda. Didn't care, wanted my Jeep. And happy I did.
Just filled her up... $99 on the dot. We got just over 500km on one tank, 80% in town. We're averaging 13.0L/100k.... only had it for a week. Still worth it!
I just bought the 2012 sahara unlimited wrangler a couple weeks ago and love it.If you haven't yet bought something I highly recommend it.The new engine (Pentastar 3.6 L)is 80 % more fuel efficient than the 2011, with 80 more Horse Power to boot. smaller displacement more power.

I have a 2012 4dr Rubicon on 37's. I do mostly running around town and get around 13.5-14 mpg. Yea it sucks. If i were to get on the highway and take a day trip of say 100 miles or so i could get around 15-15.5.
My wife just bought a new Journey with a 4 cyl engine and I just bought a new Wrangler and if I use a light foot I can usually beat her in gas mileage., and a wrangler is just way more fun.
not even sure what i get with the 07 sahara unltd. if i need fuel, i get fuel. when im empty i get more. if i had to guess id say 550ish to a tank??? i have a heavy foot though so i could be getting better
I have a 2011 wrangler unlimited manual. running 35s w/ 3"lift and frnt n rear smitty bumpers. Right now being winter in northern alberta im getting 20L/100km. i let it warm up about 15 20 mins being minus 41 and all. and thats in town. regularly in the summer im hitting 15.5L/100km. thats my reading right off the dash. however if i reset the tac from wen i fuel up to when im empty i get approx 300 in winter 400 in summer.
On another note any of you peeps have suggestions on fixing my fuel issue...like gear it down or even put some solid power to spin those heavy wheels im rolling on.
works out around 17.5mpg. Heavier tires and steel bumpers and winch and steel sliders/steps.
