Anyone from around Peterborough that knows their way around a Jeep(Looking at you Creepy Crawler)? Looking to do some mods in the spring and someone to go out with that knows some trails around here would be awesome too.

Don't really know of much around here, there is a really short easy trail about 15 mins from peterborough called the Hogsback. I've also heard that you can go through the Ganaraska forest and have a couple friends that have been through there in their trucks but haven't been myself. I'll keep you in mind though. Any experience with lift kits and stuff?

So I guess there arent many trails for us around (ive never been wheeling but would like try try something easy)

we should try and set a day to have a meet at Ganaraska... might be a little nothing trail but meeting fellow jeepers could still be fun

Waiting on my 2012 jku rubicon... I live in Barrie and know a whole bunch of wicked areas around here. Lots of forest and back country. You just have to drive around and look for it. most of it is private land so you have to pick and choose wisely. I'll be offroading by mid April I hope!

Hey guys! I'm a Toronto Jeeper too. I belong to BAJA (Brampton Area Jeep Association) Its a great club and have made me feel really welcome. I got my '11 JKU in April last year and made it out to lots of trails with the club. Learned a T-O-N and gained SO much experience - plus had a blast doing it too. check them out; www.baja41.com.
Jeep Kings is another popular GTA club. I'd also advise joining the OF4WD. They have tons of trail info, club info and also represent the Jeeping community with the Ontario government and snowmobile clubs (obviously we share a lot of the trails)
Trails here (Ontario) don't open til May 1st, so we're all really ancious to get out.

Ganaraska sounds like a great idea. Trails open May 1st (possibly sooner). Would be nice to get out. Maybe somebody could start organize that & let persons interested know what equipment they need, permits & cost.

Just a reminder jeeprs... all trails are CLOSED until May 1st. The MNR enforces this and you'd also be doing political damage to the jeeping community too. check out of4wd.com for more info

I've been on the board a couple of months, but only saw this subforum recently - don't know how I could have missed it.

Black JKU Sahara here - couldn't rationalize the Rubi, it being a daily driver, and living in the middle of Toronto as I do. However, I would VERY much like to check out some trails with folks so that I can learn the limitations of the Sahara, and thereby justify the modification madness that I'm sure is to come.

I have found a few great little spots around Barrie and outskirts here. Not really worth the drive just for the small areas that I've found....however....if you are in Barrie for another reason I can point out some good spots to try out the Sahara.
I can't believe how fun they are offroad.
I have 90 km on my odometer now and 45 of it was offroad!!!

Hey guys! I'm live in Caledon, for those of you who dont know where that is its right between orangeville and brampton. The trans canada trail cuts through my property and is just a weave of mud trails for some fun driving, if you're looking to get muddy. HOWEVER there is a sign, or i should say ANCIENT sign that says no motorized vehicles on the trail, however there are evident tire tracks and i see dirty bikes and trucks all the time and have never been bothered myself. anyone in the region add me up, and ill give you more info. always nice to make jeep friends

Also anyone know any good trails in either Caledon or the maskoka area? i spend a lot of time up there in the summer, but do not know the area that well.

May first baby! trails open, happy muddin boys!
