Question 1987 YJ help?

Alright, got a 1987 YJ with inline six and 2 barrel carb. Everything works great (well for a 87) up untill about 60 or 65 mph. Then the engine acts like its starving for fuel and unless you let off, will starve completely and die out. Has brand new fuel pump and fuel filter. Any ideas on whats going on?

Thanks

Welcome!... An 87 will go that fast? Thinking back, many years ago with my 87 I had a simular problem... ended up being water in the gas tank.

I had a '90 YJ and I had a similar problem so I dropped the tank and found crud in there as well as 20+ year old parts corroded and broken. I found new parts on line and fixed 'er right up.

In the mean time . . .

Thanks again everyone for all the welcomes . However there was nothing wrong in the tank believe it or not. So could there possibly anything else? I've checked all rubber hoses (nothing collapsed), new fuel filter, new fuel pump. Could it possibly be something with the tps on the carb? Thanks again everyone.
