2001 Wrangler - seat belt

I have a 2001 Wrangler. I wanted to see if there are thoughts on an after market seat belt to create a middle seat belt for the back seat. And have a third seat in the middle?. Thoughts are appreciated.

Tiny people in the back? I get groans and complaints when I put 2 people back there...

Here's the issue I see. both female ends are attached to the tub in the same place...so adding a 3rd and 4th belt in that location (1 male one female) seems like a tight fit, also seems like you might overload the max. capacity of that point if the vehicle ever saw a collision with three people back there...I'm sure there is a safety margin used, but I have no clue what it is.

I'd avoid doing this, but I'm not one to try new things when it comes to safety stuff.

Seat Belts

It would be for smaller people. Safety is #1. We take the car on the beach and I thought this may be an option with three kids in the back seat.

I understand the safety aspect of it. What you should do is get a 1/2 thick and like a 6x6 plate. Bolt it to the base of the tub from underneath. Then bolt the seat belts to that (run a lap belt in the middle). If you were going to spend some money on it- roll cage (family cage) with a spreader bar then toss in harnesses back there.

If you haven't gotten more out of the insurance company than you deserve, then you haven't screwed them nearly as much as they have been screwing you for the past xx years.
