2013 Jeep Moab vs. 2013 Jeep Rubicon?

Hello there community I am getting my very first Wrangler within the next 2 months upon return from traveling abroad. Firstly I would like to state for the record that I love Jeeps and have always been around at least 1 growing up. My first Jeep was a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Now with that brief introduction out of the way lets get down to business. As the Title suggests I cannot decide between the 2013 Wrangler Moab and Rubicon Trims (Note that these are both for the "unlimited" model so 4 doors). Any advice or information would be appreciated. With that said if I need to clarify anything please let me know I would be happy to.

Sincerely, Blood Winged Angel

Welcome to the Forum you'll love it here, there's plenty of Moab and Rubicon guy's here that would tell you their's is the Jeep of choice. I'd suggest finding a Jeep club in your area, visit one of their outings and use your skills to try each model out before you buy. Then you'll have an idea of each. Just a thought.

What makes the Moab more expensive then the Rubicon? The Moab from what I can tell only locks in the rear, and the Rubi locks both front and rear.

The Moab is essentially an upgraded Sahara. The money's in the upgrades you wouldn't find on a regular Rubi. Leather seats, body colour hard top, and several 'off road upgrades'. The way I see it: if you want maximum off-road performance go Rubi, if you'll be soft-roading most of the time and don't want to negotiate on comfort go Moab.
