93 grand cherokee steering prob.

This is the first time i have writin something sooo. Well i got a 93 jeep grand cherokee and the steering on it is super loose or sumtimes it just goes to one side and i cant control the thing at all for a sec. i was going to replace the steering damper but not sure if thats the prob. The tie rod ends seem to be fine cuz when i jack it up i cant wiggle the tires. so if enyone has any info on this i would appreciate it thank you

Check the mount points for the trac bar. The tie rod looking bar that runs from the frame to the axle to keep it centered. They're notorious for hogging out the mounting holes allowing the axle to shift side to side as you turn.
