Unhappy 93 YJ in Michigan's upper peninsula UP for any one who don't know

I was just wondering if the guy that packed my 1" body lift last week was laughing when he saw where I live! Day two on the install has me driving to Sault St Marie for some steel to weld in where I hear there was supposed to be a captured nut? Well I've had a lot of firsts in my live and this will be another one, both the rusty body lift and posting on a forum. I read this forum all the time but on the trip home I decided I just gotta ask, has any one ever just gave up and welded the body to the frame. I'm just say'n I prefer my salt in a margarita not on the road. Fair winds and following seas, Cap Jax

Never that I've heard of, but that doesn't mean that it hasn't been done.

Week to with the body welded to the frame. So far I have beat the loose rust pieces off while bouncing down the trails and crawling over the rocks and every thing has held up well.
