I am certainly not new to the wider Jeep family, as I purchased my first Cherokee in 1995 and have driven Cherokees continually for the past 17 years. However like most Jeepers, I have had a soft spot for Wranglers and test drove a few over the years to feed the urge a bit. Well I recently sold my 2000 Cherokee to my daughter's fiance and began to Wrangler shop in earnest. I kept tabs on local Jeep dealers, discount used car lots, AutoTrader and Craigslist and finally found a hot lead early this past week. After a few phone calls, I made arrangements to make the 70 mile each way trip to see this '03 TJ Sport, as the photos and description were very interesting to say the least. He had to pull a soft cover off it and drive it out of a pole barn for me to see it and it was EVERYTHING I have been looking for. My wife whispered in my ear, "If you don't buy this you are crazy.....", so I gave him a deposit after test driving it. I pulled all the pieces of the puzzle together on Thursday with the bank and insurance company and made the 140 mile round trip one more time with a fat check in hand to bring it home. Only 56K with brand new tires and spotless.............woo-hoo!
So I am officially a member of the Wrangler family and keep looking out the livingroom window at my new Jeep in the driveway.
