Hello everyone! Just purchased a pre-owned '03 Wrangler Sport. I fell in love with it the first day I drove it. I now see why there is a certain mystique about these vehicles. I can insert my bike inside for transport so now all I have to do is figure out a way to transport my 10' recreational kayak. C'mon and let it snow as I want to test out the 4X4; however Maryland hasn't seen a lot of the white stuff in the last year or 2.
Welcome to our house. You don't need snow to have fun in your jeep. They make all kinds of aftermarket racks for the top of your jeep. Get a quadratec and a 4wd hardware catalog. Even if you don't buy from them it will give you a great idea what products are out there.

Thanks for the helpful info on kayak carriers, etc. I am an avid bass fisherman (have a jon boat and kayak), and do most of my fishing (also fly fishing) on the upper Potomac R. I love the Harpers Ferry area to Pt. Of Rocks. I live in the Rockville area of Md. Gotta give you some pics of my jeep. Just washed and waxed it today. I am in the process of figuring out how to take the soft top off for Spring of '08. I've never loved a vehicle so much as I do this one. I thought my '91 5.0 Pony was my last and true love, but NO, this Wrangler tops her. My next mission is to get a hitch put on for my jon boat. Gotta give Uhaul a holler .
Welcome! There aren't many of us in the MD area, but some. Rausche Creek isn't too far of a drive from rockville (I live in the columbia area), bout 2.5 hours each way, if you want to do some 'wheelin. I am hoping for some snow myself Whitesport, these MT/Rs aren't going to be ANY fun this winter unless it hits us good. Besides, we are due for a blizzard. Let me know if you need any help with your Jeep. Penguin_in_a_CJ is a Jeep GOD as far as I am concerned, and he comes up this way every now and again
