Another MASShole with a Jeep!

Hello All,

My name is Jim, and this past weekend I bought my first Jeep (TJ)! A clean 2002 Sport in silver, with 137,000 miles. Pretty much stock, soft top, sound bar, center console with subwoofer... faded fender flares.

She is in great condition, as I bought it from a friend that had it since new and drove it on the highway, and in Boston...never off-road.

There are a couple chips here and there, and a 2 inch line of rust on top of the passenger fender. The biggest issue is a broken driver's seat. The bolts on the sider mechanism tore away, so it rocks backwards now. I am in the process of removing the seats, and have three bolts out...just need to get the T50 torx for the last one. I am already reading though your forum, learning everything I can.

I live on the North Shore of Massachusetts, on the NH border, and I look forward to taking her out and about in the waves and the woods.

-Cheers,

Jim

P.S. I'll post pictures soon.

Thanks guys. Here she is, while I have been going over her.

Tonight, I took out the seats and carpet.

Thanks guys. So far I have taken off the fender flares for repainting, the doors, just because they have never been off, removed the entire interior, and looking for rust. Surprise!!!!! I found rust!! But, I'm going to take care of it.
