Another "Newbie..."

Just read about "WF" over on the J-rations forum and thought I would chime in over here!

I've been a "Jeep Man" since the early 80's. My wife and I have 4 Jeeps between us (gotta love those Jeep Girls!) including a '51 CJ3A Universal, '83 CJ8 Scrambler, '93 YJ Wrangler, and '04 Liberty.

I'll be checking in from time to time and posting my 2 cents!

Thanks for the big welcome!

I will try to post a pic here if the system will let me. If not, please visit my website (under construction) at www.jeepchasm.com and let me know what you think!

I am building the site in hopes that it will become a resource and inspiration to others wanting to rescue a classic Jeep. The YJ and Scrambler are works in progress... their time in front of the camera will come! LOLOL

Here's a picture of that CJ3A when I bought it, for those that asked. You really can't see the Bondo and patches in this picture, or the wooden floorboards! LOLOL (You can see more pics of all of the rust at the website I posted earlier)

I won't let my wife see the "firstaidTJ" posts... if I do, she'll be speeding up her YJ build with one of those big needles too!

Thanks for the compliment Scout!

I am hoping to have fun with a 1983 Scrambler "project" that I bought this summer for $550. It will give me something to do for another year or so!

Welcome to the forums, great job on the jeep. It's nice to see some of the grandaddy jeeps still running around they are a good testiment to the legacy of the jeep.

Thanks Odhinn!

"The Grandaddy Jeep" is a blast to drive. Of the 4 Jeeps my wife and I have, it's by far the most fun... and it gets a lot of attention wherever you go with it. I've had people follow me right into a gas station just to ask questions about it! Never had that with the CJ8 or the YJ.
