Another newbie: just bought a 2006 TJ Sport

Fulfilled a 40 year dream and bought my first Jeep today! My adult children are telling me I'm having a mid-life crisis (maybe I am...so what!). I'm not well-versed yet on all the lingo associated with my new purchase, so bear with me. Its Solar Yellow (according to my husband's Internet research) with Mickey Thompson tires and wheels and Smittybilt SRC bumper along with lots of other add-ons. The engine is I-6 4.0L, auto transmission (I was too chicken to get a manual - haven't driven one in years).

Fortunately my older son is a mechanic for an off-road specialty shop, so he can hook me up with what I need as I really begin to enjoy my new toy. Not sure what to name her (or him) yet, but that will come, I'm sure. I think tomorrow we may take her for a test drive on the beach!

Welcome to the forum
I bought my first Jeep last year at age 43. It is a great mid life crisis cure!

Thanks again for the warm welcomes! I've posted a few pictures just now, including my "before" and "after" shots since I had the bumper changed out today. I feel a new obsession coming on...
