Another TEXAN saying hello

Hi all, Found the site while I should be working. Looks like a good place to visit. I have a 2006 TJ that is presently mostly stock. I dumped the stock bumpers right off the bat though. They are just not made for Houston. I have also put on a set of KC Slimlite fog and driving lights. My ride is a daily driver but will be used in the field during hunting season and I hope soon to the beach/lake for some fishing. Next upgrade is a 2 inch budget boost and a 1 inch body lift. I don't foresee any hardcore rock crawling in the near future so this set up will work well for me for a while. After the lifting will be saving for some new wheels and most likely 31x10.5's. It will be a few years at least before I go bigger and start re-gearing. Well, good wheeling and safe trips to all.

Hi, Bob. Welcome to WF.
That's a good looking jeep. There's nothing wrong with a stock wrangler. My first jeep was stock as can be and I had no trouble going off road, hunting and fishing with it. Enjoy!

Welcome to WF. I am with Amy. My Rubi is stock, and is probably going to stay that way. Driven well, a Jeep on 31s can still get ya deeper in the back country than you probably want to be... especially if you got some lockers and some MTRs or Mud terrains..

Thanks for the welcome

Hey guys thanks for the welcome. Beleive me when I say I agree about the capabilities of a stock ride. Here is a shot of mine when we went to do some work after duck season. The field is between Katy and Brookshire Texas. While there were no boulders it was definitely a fun ride. The 3 inches I have planned and a set of 31's will keep me happy for years. Heck...if I get the urge to get radical I may as well get a second ride for that kind of fun.

BTW: I'm thinking about the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. Any opinions? I'm also looking at the Tabor 9K.

Take care guys and again thanks for the welcome
