Even though I just registered here less than an hour ago I feel very comfortable around here. This could be the fact that I am finally buying another wrangler or the fact that I have been lurking around here for almost a week devouring the posts up trying to catch up on my jeep owning hiatus. In my quest for information on the internet I kept finding links to the forum here and found the information and people useful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Thank you all for the help you have already provided to me
Now to actually introduce myself:
My name is Robert Lee, I am married, have 2 kids (boy and girl both under 6), I am a high school math teacher, and live in Houston, TX. My first vehicle was an '88 wrangler and I absolutely loved every second of owning it. I grew up in a small "border" town in the country and had plenty of fun driving, playing around in it, fixing it (carburetors really!?!?!), and fixing it up. Going off to college I ended up selling it off and getting a truck and have driven a heavy duty truck for around 14 years now. Last week I had enough of my GM Duramax breaking down and decided to trade it in. I was just going to buy another truck but my wife suggested I buy another wrangler because I always talked about how I missed mine from high school. Four or five days later I bought a brand new black JK Unlimited. I will be picking it up tomorrow and the first thing I am going to do is take the top (and probably doors) off for the remainder of the summer . I got a great deal on the one I found but it is lacking in a few areas I need to address, for example no soft top option, but that is why I have all of you now .
