bought my first jeep

on new years day I bought an 89 yj. It has the 258 i6 with a 4.0 head and fuel injection, 5 1/2" lift, and a bunch of other stuff. As soon as i towed it home i began to tear it apart for the transmission swap. the ba10 was stuck in 1st gear figured out how to rearrange the shift forks and get it back in business but then decided screw it lets the swap in the ax15 and external slave cylinder. Now i'm waiting for a new throw out bearing and pilot bushing to arrive as well as a clutch fork pivot that didn't come on my new to me ax15 bell housing. Anyone has any tips for me on this swap let me know. I ended a long night in the garage by splitting the transfer case and beginning to install the 23 spline input shaft.I didn't get a transfer case because the np231 that came on the jeep already had a slip yoke eliminator installed. If anyone has detailed instructions on assembly let me know the planetary doesn't seem to want to go all the way back in flush. is it supposed to? it sits about 1/4" out any help would be appreciated.
