Central Mississippi - Longtime Jeeper but Newbie Here

Hello, folks. I just started up an account and even gave the $25 to be a *real* supporting member (viewing sans ads and such).

I was a member over at JeepForum.com for years under a few different names and finally gave up on that crowd, being run off due to the fact that I am not a bigot and many there at that time were. Things there had gotten so out of hand that I was finally glad to leave. I was quite unhappy at stuff that was said AND tolerated there.

I sincerely hope that the guidelines posted here are actually enforced. I do not want to end up in a social cesspool again. This place seems much more civilized.

I am looking forward to meeting and interacting with this community.

Wade

Rewind, I am in Yazoo City. I work in Jackson, which makes me have to commute two hours roundtrip in the TJ every time I go in. I used to teach at MSU as an adjunct, but the wild cutbacks a few years ago during the economic crisis caused me to get an offer without mileage reimbursement. I would have ended up spending a five hour round trip drive to break even. Teaching for free is not a good way to make a mortgage payment, if you know what I mean. But I love Starkvegas. Any good wheeling out there?
