Checking in & need help with engine problem

Hello everyone! I bought my first Wrangler (2001 Sport) about a year ago from a private seller. Flew down south and drove it home to Pa. While driving thru the mountains of Wv the engine light started flashing and the jeep lost power. It was still running but would not accelerate. Started running so rough I could hardly get it off the road. Sat there for about 10 min, started it up and made it to a rest area. I asked where the nearest Autozone type place was and was told I was in the Bible belt and nothing is open on a Sun. Made it home, had it diagnosed with multiple engine misfires. They suggested change plugs...did....helped for a few months, power loss happened again. Other suggestion was change the coil pack...did...helped for a few months, happened again. Had cleaned out with Seafoam, didn't help. Light is on, gas mileage is terrible (about 11 mpg) and runs rough at start up. I've read a few threads concerning the same problems but haven't yet found an answer. Please let me know if you've found the fix for this. I've had a couple different mechanics working on this and they can't figure it out.
Thank you!!!
