Checking in from California.

Hi all.
New to the site and I'm already overwhelmed by all the useful information here!
I've had my 91 YJ for a few years and only used it on the road plus camping in teh summers. Nothing to intense. But the trans failed on it recently and Im looking to upgrade. It's got the stock BA 10 five speed.
I might be able to get my hands on a rebuilt AX15 cheap and I'm trying to figure out if I can have the swap done and what would be the process. Anything I should look out for? Can it be done? Should I even bother?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
