Complete newb, wanted to check out a Wrangler

Hello,

I have been a long time fan of wranglers and I was browsing some ads and came accross a wrangler for cheap.

Its a 1995 Salvage title wrangler. Here is the fs ad.

1995 Wrangler , Jeep ...... NICE ... 717-855-5503

I was wondering what you guys think. I could talk him down because of the damage. But Im not sure how i would go about getting it registered in MD.

I don't think registering it would be too much of a problem, just passing inspection could prove to be difficult depending on the damage. I can't gauge how bad it is by the pictures, I would really have to look at it closer. If you are not sure, take it to a mechanic or someone who knows what to look for.
Welcome and check out some of the threads to get an idea about YJ's

Welcome and keep us posted on what you decide.

I would have the guy get this inspection done first. If it passes and there isn't any major issues like rust holes, I'd buy it. You might want to hold out for a Jeep with a 6 cylinder though. If you go and look at it make sure you look under the carpet for rust and at the back of the frame.

Welcome to the forum. I can not give good advise on salvage vehicles. Good luck though.

Find out why it has a Salvage title and see if you can figure out what year the salvage was issued. If it was from flood damage you could be chasing electrical problems all the time.
If it was me I'd steer clear of a salvage title mostly because of the unknown but also I wouldn't want my Jeep or any car to have that stigma about it if I ever tried to sell it.
