Faster than I shoulda, I purchased a new 10' Wrangler last week. I always liked how they looked but never really considered it but because of a new vehicle needed, I tested and purchased one last week... so far I love it. I have discovered in my week of ownership about the wave.... not what I was expecting but nice.
This is a good forum and already had a few questions answered by searching here, so I thought I would join in. I must say, the dealership I went to had no knowledge about the vehicles they sell, they couldn't (wouldn't?) show me how to take down the top or doors. Guess I should have done more research on dealerships first. But I guess jeeps are a bit more specialized than other vehicles....
Thanks for having this out here as a resource and hopefully I learn to take full advantage of my new Jeep with your help.

Welcome to the club, and keep on waving. The lady I bought my jeep from showed me how to drop the top and put it back up, she even gave me a chilton's repair book and told me about the wave. I just lucked out, buying it from a real jeep person.

10' ? - my JK-X is almost 13'.........oh......you mean '10
Sorry - just tryin' to increase my post count so I'm not a newb anymore...
Congrats on your purchase and welcome to WF !!
I was able to puzzle out removing the top from the manual pretty easily. My only sticking point was in step 1, pulling out the plastic retainers from above the driver and passenger doors - the last 4" closest to the windshield doesn't need to be pulled out, and I wasted a few minutes tugging and swearing.......

License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.
