Dare2BSquare

Hi. I have owned my 95 yj rio grande since January of '06. Haven't had time to do a lot of mods. I have installed a console, HiLift jack, bikini, windjammer, and duster, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. It came with a slight lift, 31 x 10.5
BFG's on 15" aluminium wheels off of a cherokee. I bought it from a guy who rebuilds Jeeps that he buys from insurance companies. Many of his Jeeps are salvage titles. Mine only had bumper and passenger side fender damage. These were replaced and the whole rig painted. It has a clean title and after about 4k miles, I am loving it. It has used no oil in the 4k I have put on it and the engine seems tight and sound. I am looking forward to keeping this yj for a long time. Glad to find this forum, I am also a member of the 4banger forum.

Brian

Welcome aboard. That has to be one of the cleanest YJ's I've ever seen. Interesting wheels also. What kind of jeep did those originally come on?

I love it. You don't see many Rio Grandes around my area. It looks awesome.

Those wheels remind me of hurricanes. Like whats on the General Lee. I wouldn't mind having a set of those on my YJ.

Glad you're here, Brian. Welcome to WF! And, I agree with my friend Jack. That YJ is super clean.

I believe the wheels came OEM on late 80's to early 90's xj. Specifically the cherokee waggoneer. I found the spare on ebay for like $20 and under $40 with shipping. It was in better shape than any of the four on the ground.

You know, after I look at those wheels again, they look like they could have been an old Ram Charger, but Dare2BSquare might be right. They look great on that YJ.

Man, every time I look at your YJ, I think, I need to buff out my scratches. You make me want to paint mine. Mine is the same color, but it's a Sahara.
