Hello from the low desert of Southern California!
I am in the market for a used Wrangler to tow 4 down behind our RV. Our budget is limited to around 7,500, including tow bar and all the rest. So, that pretty much limits me to a YJ, or maybe an early TJ. I once had a 1987 4.2 automatic, so I know that year is trouble. I know the 4.2 may not be powerful, but at least it gets terrible mileage. I had the 4.0 in a Cherokee and a Commanche P.U. and loved that engine but i am not familiar with 4 cylinder. So, I'm looking for tips on what to look for, and what to avoid in a used Jeep. Thanks for any input!
Cr

look for a decent 97 to 2000 tj or what ever you are lucky enough to find, in that price range you should be able to find something late nineties early 2000's tow bar where im from is maybe 300 bucks, just have someone local in the club help you check it over im sure there are lots willing to help
