Welcome! Let's have some details. Are those 35's? What size lift? what tire carrier is that? My advice if you are going to wheel on rocks is to lose the plastic side steps and get some rock rails as well as armor underneath if there isn't any already. BTW, Red Rock is the best!

First off let me say thanks to all you guys for all the kind words. I thought I might get flamed a bit.

I got on here for several specific reasons. One of which was to gather a wealth of knowledge from those who have been wheeling in Jeeps for decades, not just a couple of years.

It's funny, while driving my "new to me" Jeep down the road I wave at all jeepers. Most of the time, it's the guys in the older Jeeps, (TJ's, yj's)
who wave back. I think now that they are making these things so "Plush" and "Electronic" (tire pressure sensors, traction control, airbags, bells, buzzers, whistles, auto swaybar discos, gps, etc etc.. Folks who were going to buy a car or sport utility are snatching these things up. I don't think they understand the Jeep thing.

Anyway,
Thanks for the kind words! I tried to do a signature with details but I'm not savy enough I guess. Prolly forgot to hit save lol. I'll try again later. But wheels are 18' Moto Metals. Tires are 35x12.5's. Toyo Open Country Mudders. I love em by the way. The fuel can carrier was my idea. Just welded it up out of some scrap 2x2 iron. I hear ya on the under protection. All I have done so far is the Rancho oil pan skid. I'm really not all that hard core like most of you.

Thank man. Ya, perhaps the grill is why folks don't wave much, it blinds them lol.

I know the grill isn't a favorite of many. It was on there when I bought it & I myself thought it was just too shiney to be on the Jeep. After a while it grew on me & I'm going to keep it untill it gets chipped up. Then the bed liner will go on!

Again thanks for all the warm welcomes & compliments, I look forward to learning & possibly hooking up with some of you who are not too crazy.

Just two questions:
1) You gonna fab it for me?
or
2) Wanna get me the gear and teach me how to use it? LOL

I wonder what freight from Co to FL would be? Prolly way too much.

As far as mig welding. If you get a good one & use the argon oxygen mix, you will have no trouble. It's all about just setting the dials up. I think there is even a cheat sheet that comes with the welder.
